Welcome to Yipiyap! The Induction Hub will take you through every step from getting onboarded, sitting your training, and getting you ready to begin tutoring. You can get started straight away with some tasks right, and more will be unlocked over time, so keep checking back.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate is required by law for anyone working in schools alongside children. You will receive an email from Disclosure Services inviting you to complete your DBS application - you might have already received it!
To complete your DBS Check, you will need to:

If you have previously lived or worked overseas past the age of 15, you should already have received information on completing an overseas criminal background check, which is a requirement for working in schools. As soon as contract is signed
Keeping Children Safe in Education is the Department for Education’s statutory guidance for schools and colleges on safeguarding children and safer recruitment. Like all school/college staff, it is a legal requirement that you read Part 1 of this document before beginning your placement.

This is an optional scheme but we feel this is a very valuable addition to our tutor remuneration package here at Yipiyap. We need to tell HMRC certain information about our employees, so it's worth checking you know the answers before beginning the Admin Form. If you're not sure about your particular circumstances, please contact halyna@yipiyap.co.uk.
Once you submit the Admin Form, we'll email you with a prompt to digitally sign HMRC's New Starter Checklist. If you don't get this email within 24 hours of submitting, please contact IT@yipiyap.co.uk.

There is a significant amount of reading which will need to be done before the Online Induction Training so please allow enough time for this.
During your Online Induction Training (Module 4), you will need to sign off to confirm you understand and agree to a number of important documents. The contents of these documents will be discussed in this training, but you should review them beforehand.

We have put together a comprehensive set of induction videos which cover everything you’ll need to know before you get started this year. From dress code to getting paid, you’ll find lots of information here.
Once complete, you will have to sit a formal online assessment which will cover topics from across these videos. You must pass this assessment to begin your placement, so please ensure you review these videos carefully.

Now that you have viewed our online induction videos, we need to ensure that you understand the most important aspects of this training. You must pass the assessment to begin tuition with us this year. You will be allowed two resit attempts if necessary.
Before the assessment, you will also be prompted to confirm that you have watched, understood, and agree to each of the video training modules. You will also be asked for feedback on the Induction process.
