Building on over a decade of tutoring know how, your sixth formers begin with our digital Train to Tutor course. The five one-hour modules cover everything that your sixth formers need to start tutoring, both inside and outside of school:
1. Introductions, in which learners are invited to reflect on their personality, strengths, and weaknesses, to discover their tutoring style.
2.Teaching & Learning, covering key pedagogy concepts they can use both as tutors and to support their own learning.
3. Selling Yourself, addressing pricing, marketing, and all things entrepreneurial.
4. Professionalism, which covers essential skills and knowledge including safeguarding, data privacy, and income tax.
5. The Pitch, where all of your learners' hard work culminates in a Dragon's Den-style presentation of their tutoring business.
Supporting you every step of the way.
And once your crack team of peer tutors are ready?
Your dedicated contact on the Yipiyap Success Team will help put everything in place - whether that’s tutoring within your own lower school or partnering with a local school – and will support you every step of the way.
