Yipiyap Aspire: Train to Tutor - Update v2.0 is out!
What’s new in Yipiyap Aspire: Train to Tutor V2.0?
Version 2.0 of Yipiyap Aspire’s Train to Tutor course is now out, as of September 2025. All subscribers to the digital course have automatically been upgraded to the latest version of the course, free of charge, which can be accessed via the Yipiyap website.
This follows our previous update to Version 1.1 of the course last November, which targeted quality-of-life features that could cause frustration for learners.
Version 2.0 builds on that solid foundation with a full revamp of every Module, video, and activity, to make sure Train to Tutor is as engaging, easy-to-follow, and useful as it can possibly be for learners.
So, what’s new?

More Engaging than Ever
We’ve updated every Module of the course with new content, videos, and activities, based on the feedback we’ve received from past participants.
Taking a leaf out of Peerscroller’s book, every video is now no more than a couple of minutes long, meaning learners won’t go long without actively engaging with the course. We’ve also packed the course with even more hands-on activities than before, and given the graphics and audio an upgrade.
Never Overrun Again
We’ve taken the chance to trim down the content of each Module to ensure they all fit within an hour lesson slot. We’ve also made the plenary quizzes at the end of Modules 2, 3, and 4 optional. If you’re running close to the bell, learners can skip the quiz and revisit it later in their own time.
New Bonus Content for Each Module
Alongside each Module, you’ll find some optional Bonus Content for each topic. Here, learners can deepen their understanding outside of the main sessions, outside of class.
Through the Bonus Content, learners will explore new concepts and find interactive frameworks to support them in lesson planning, marketing, safeguarding, privacy, using Yipiyap Aspire on CVs or UCAS applications, and preparing their Pitch presentation for Module 5
The new Bonus Content replaces the Workbook from previous versions of Yipiyap Aspire.
If you’ve sat an older version of Yipiyap Aspire, you’ll recognise some of the Bonus Content from the main Modules and the old Workbook. We’ve trimmed down each Module so they fit neatly into an hour-long lesson, but your learners can still access all the information that was in Version 1.0 of Train to Tutor when they need it, via the Bonus Content.
Updated Teacher Handbook
We’ve updated the Teacher Handbook to reflect the new course. Inside, you’ll also find some guidance on the different ways you can structure the course to suit your learners’ needs.
