Jennifer's take on Yipiyap's 2019-20 induction

I think I speak for the entire 2019 / 2020 Yipiyap tutor cohort when I say that everyone was looking forward to the two Induction Days, mainly to put our worries aside. For most of us, this was our first professional job and so a really informative Induction was essential to help us prepare for the role of a Tutor - Yipiyap did just that!

From polished presentations and thought-provoking scenarios, to an exceptional gospel choir who got us all smiling, I thoroughly enjoyed both of the days and everything they had to offer. We were given vital information about the contract, the role of a Yipiyap tutor, and what to expect once we got into school; all this ensured that we will thrive in our placement. We also had the opportunity to meet other tutors from up and down the country; it was a fantastic experience making such great friends in such a short space of time.

There was never a dull moment thanks to the amazing Yipiyap team; they were all incredibly welcoming and did a fantastic job at boosting our confidence in preparation for the 2019 / 2020 academic year. Their enthusiasm and dedication truly were at times overwhelming.

The Induction has more than prepared me for starting in the role of a Yipiyap tutor and I am excited to begin at my assigned school within the next few days. I am 100% certain that I have made the best decision possible for my gap year; Yipiyap was exactly what I was looking for and I'm so excited for the journey to begin!
